are people actually mostly playing in private games nowadays? most private games i see are tiny, and most of the players i know who play at private games also have at least one public game.
there are certainly less public games cropping up in comparison to private games, but i see people flocking to the same old big jamjars that have been around for years (dup, ryslig, etc) more than i see people leaving public games for private games entirely.
