i know this is just the way anglosphere culture works generally, but its objectively odd that it's not "weird" or "needy" to insist that all of your social contacts limit their communications just to things that are relevant to you personally. very cold, individualistic style of thinking about this, and triple odd in the community that values and prioritizes scrolling on bakerstreet.
