also there was one kywtp prompt many rpanons posts ago that went something like "want to play a japanese schoolgirl lusting over white dude" (don't remember the exact details but race being fetishized was key to it), which stood out a bit among the other more commonly seen kinks in those threads

what's especially odd is that the slur she's using is never used in the main game iirc. kainé says to emil that her body is "different" from others, and she's mistreated in her village as a result. there's instances where the nature of her being intersex is moreso alluded to than someone turning to the screen and using a slur. this isn't to say that the canon handles it gracefully or well all the time - there's an achievement in the remake that is related to it and that is generally agreed to be offensive, and a really appalling supplemental story as well, that doesn't appear in the main game. but i'm not entirely sure where use of the slur is coming from, possibly an old interview? or one of the other short stories, also older, where quality of writing varies significantly? she's the only player of this character and the only active player from this canon that I have ever seen refer to kainé using this slur, and i don't remember it being used in canon proper at all, though i could of course be wrong.

if it's an official guidebook, then it's years old too. idk i feel as if opinions of kainé have changed enough where there are people who try to play her with sensitivity and grace outweigh people who don't, and this player unfortunately appears to be the latter.

the point is that dwrp generally tolerates kinks when they don't perpetuate irl oppression, like when you use slurs to refer to an intersex condition. so you can do slave rp as long as it's specifically not set on a plantation or anything.
