people are allowed to have an opinion on bad optics, anon. they're allowed to think what they want about it and express those opinions here. that's what this comm is for. it's fine if you disagree but you're coming across as a bit of a whiteknight here in response to a mild criticism on the appearance of how this looks to a passerby.

if this person is your friend, maybe suggest to them that leaving that comment stand without any attempt to delete it or correct it in any way isn't a good look for them, no matter how conflict adverse they are.

You're absolutely right, people are allowed to state their opinions on anoncomms - something I actually never said otherwise. Mine is that it's weird you're ascribing so much deliberate intent to the act of not deleting someone's comment in your Plurk. You can disagree or not, but people are allowed to respond to what you post publicly, and they don't have to be whiteknighting friends to do so.

it's true, and i think finding those things u identify with in the char actually make the writing better bc there's an emotional understanding there. or... sometimes the writer ends up woobifying them so much that they're unrecognisable. can go either way
