- meet a rare canonmate played by a stranger on bakerstreet
- ask if your character / scenario is okay
- write a starter
- hear back that they think the starter was brilliant and they can't wait to tag it

then don't hear from them, a week on.

As someone who knew the mods personally, you literally don't have the full story. At least one of the mods had never modded before and knew next to nothing about html or how it worked in DW. They most she ever asked for was for someone to show her how to fix shit so she could do her job and the head mod never did. The lists never went that long without being updated, saying this as a player. Yes they took a while but only because of the above mentioned stuff mixed with people having lives.

Story was handled solely by the lead mod and the one time it wasn't it backfired horribly and basically the mod that messed up too accountability and was left playing clean up for everyone else until the game crashed and burned.

Also bird wasn't doing all the jobs, the mod who wanted to learn how to do things finally learned and she was the one handling pages up until the end. Head mod literally jumped ship as soon as shit got real. I'm not saying that they didn't have faults but what they were going through didn't make them lazy.
