the kneejerk defensiveness in this thread to the mere suggestion that shipping and smut isn't always appropiate content to focus on in every game is unreal.

making game rules against this premise ignoring and enforcing them really needs to be more normalized around here if something this basic is a problem for anons.

enforcing those rules strictly would be a disaster and doom a game and the mods.

How much engagement with the premise is required to prove they aren’t ignoring it? How will this be proven? Is the expectation of this level of engagement placed upon every player equally, or just those playing ships?

Do players need to earn the right to ship with proof of plot activity? Can shipping allowed at all, and how would this be banned? Is smut? What about inbox threads and private logs?

No one wants to deal with the logistics of rules like that.

i'm saying at this point i'd rather prefer someone who is upfront with slurs versus someone who makes a big show out of being a progressive ally but then immediately reverts to insinuate people are intellectually challenged as a insult, and it's ok because they don't actually use the slur that makes them lose the ally card. it's insincere, performative, and very telling of their internal beliefs in that they see people with intellectual disabilities as their lessers and the punchline of their "witty" insults.

There have been two perfect actors cast as Lestat. Even if you didn’t want to utilize their faces to avoid confusion, there are also plenty of actors who’ve had roles that had them in long blonde wigs.
