roxy reminds me of those early 2000s weeaboo girls who hadn't grown out of that phase and gets super weird and claims cute anime boys like they are their lovers.

This is also my experience and quite frankly she's terrible at playing him and her Ochaco isn't much better. She's now on my "avoid at all costs" list.

Personally I really do like her Ochaco. She handles her very well and was fun to play off. But Roxy 100% does suffer from the toxicity that a lot of shippers do, unfortunately. When it comes to not just what she ships but what she *doesn't* ship, she's a nightmare. And it really put me off playing with her at all as a result. No one wants to deal with someone who is vocal about how much they hate how you have fun and how their way is superior.

Obviously ymmv but to me the problem is that while she has the voice right her shipping obsession bleeds into Ochaco and creates weird character choices and motivations. It's like you said, she's not just a shipper, she's a toxic shipper and it's unpleasant to deal with both ic and ooc.

see, i hated her ochaco but to be fair this was in deer and it felt like ochaco was incapable of doing anything but thirst for bakugo
