As someone who has known her for forever: She might have found it unfun or not her thing but I don't feel like she'd axe it for everyone ever just because she didn't like it. That doesn't feel like the person I know. Or hope I do. I can't say that I think Yon would've either after a good long think on it and have never talked to the third mod at length by choice. I think it was just a bad (terriblehorrible) decision the team made without exploring possible consequences in their conversations. This is usually the case on small teams because of how many people normally will just say ok and move on when it comes to moderation decisions if there's a consensus. Reaching out for help from someone to post it once a month and handle overflow would've gone a long way to fix this if none of them wanted to, I think. Especially since they said it got big fast, they definitely needed more hands if they couldn't handle it. Even if I disagree that two years is fast. Honestly not sure what was going through their minds on all this. Of all the things to be worried about though, the temporary (?) loss of SLEEPR or even the network isn't/wasn't ever the ones I had most concerns with tbh.

I'm doing the taboo thing on wank gate and I'm about to say nice things. I'd like to at least say them since it's the whole truth I've experienced and things she could consider for the future have already been said criticism wise. I do want to separate the moderator from the recent bad decisions in this case.

I've had my fair share of butting heads with her, all resolved as far as I know. Roxy was one of the only mods who cared enough to take action on things when I had issues there without it needing to be stated in black and white. Or because it may be awkward or hard. Big or small. They took time to explain things to me when there were ambiguous situations happening that I couldn't wrap my head around. I'm not apologizing for her, excusing behaviour or decisions that affected or continue to affect a lot of people, but it's not just bad qualities she has. Everyone has bad qualities and Roxy has made a lot of people adverse to her. But, back on track. She was there to help any time I needed it or was too afraid to talk to any of the other moderators/bring my concerns to them as a whole. Roxy always stepped up that way. I can't say I felt the same type of let-me-help-you-and-be-proactive attitude from anyone else looking back on it now. That's why I'm so confused on a lot of things regarding the game, things she has said and decisions made in the last few days.

As for your question, in the very least I think a hiatus until things blow over even a hiatus next month as it looks like Laby's going to have check in this month. I think that's what I'd recommend she do.

Look, I'm going to be honest, I have a very good idea of who this is and if I'm right, you are a very patient, kind person and I have to say I think you're assuming others are acting with your same level of good intention when they aren't. Roxy and Yon made some stupid moves in all this, but they're not overall stupid people. They are certainly smart enough to recognize a person who will stand by them and give the benefit of the doubt if they don't lash out at you directly.

They are also very angry people who are offended at the drop of a hat, and handle it horribly. You're well within your rights to stay in their corner, but brushing off what others have experienced with them because you haven't experienced it yet is unfair.

Even if you can't be sure I appreciate your sentiment and your kindness and being direct. Those really just were my interactions on a moderator level and my assumptions based on knowing her as per topic. If she really did axe something she doesn't like for everyone or even put her hat in the ring for that, then I'm not sure what to think. I guarantee it wouldn't be as kindly. That's why these latest decisions, and some of the actions, were so confusing considering the positive things I've had regarding her in moderation position in Laby. If any of the things that she or any of the moderators did for me was out of selfishness or maliciousness, I think that'll have to weigh on their hearts. And any god that wants to answer the call, forbid I find that out.

I really only meant to speak as per topic suggested and not reiterate criticisms already stated. I'm not intending on defending what they have done, what they did to anyone, said or decisions they've made. Those are their own but I suspect I did a bad job of making that clear. It was a really wordy bunch of paragraphs so I should've been more direct in that.

I apologize to you, or anyone else, if it came off like I was minimalizing anyone's experiences because I've been through my own fair share of that. I only meant to share my own.

I appreciate your reply, it was refreshing in the midst of all this. And I think, for whatever it's worth, that the blindsiding and whiplash Lab players dealt with yesterday has left a lot of us struggling to voice our thoughts on it as well as we'd like.

In turn, I appreciate that you pointed out things I needed to address with more clarity. That's pretty important, as was what needed clarity and not doing that well enough is on me. Correct about the whiplash also. It has all been one hell of a ride for the player base that I'm not even sure is over yet. Even though I'm not certain we do or don't know each other, I hope you have a good day and things only look up from all the chaos for you from now on.
