a dub changing a japanese pun that makes no sense unless you have several translator notes explaining how it works in japanese is not censorship, just localization.

a edit that removes a character shown pissing on screen is censorship but also part of localization because while it could air unedited in the original country, it’s not acceptable in other countries due to tv regulations and cultural standards.

i don’t think it’s bad. tbh as mediocre as tokyo mirage sessions was, changing the stalker quest to show him using the women he kidnapped as mannequins by dressing them up and losing them better conveyed that he was a psycho photographer. original one just had him with several unconscious women on his couch, and that was actually controversial in japan because a lot of people disliked the sexual assault implication.
