this is so grossly patronizing and you suck for writing it.

the kind of reaction anyone here should want is for the same energy and consideration to be given to any other person in this hobby when they are going through heavy real life shit. but the truth is: that doesn't happen, and it's disingenuous to act like it does.

plenty of you demonize mods and want them to hand over their games for falling behind and go on to treat players with even less thought.

there's no "tide" of progress here. if anything, rpers now are more selfish than ever and you guys are only coming out to bat for this mod so hard because you want this game to keep going. you're delaying the inevitable, and the mod should've just stayed away and tended to their life in the way they wanted to, instead of being guilted back by a bunch of assholes who couldn't just go find a new game.

true but gsai also maintains that the issue was because modding was a mistake and that's why they were treated poorly and not because they're an asshole

i know 'hi gsai' is practically a meme on both wg and rpa but having had a front row seat for a few of his meltdowns i'm getting the same vibes

it's the long-winded vitriol combined with the "i know how dwrp works and you don't" preaching, imo

my guy, the amount of off-base projection, vitriol and sheer anger in your comment is too vast for me or anyone in an anon gossip community to untangle. my point is and remains: yes, anons (including me and you, because we're both here) haven't always been the kindest. but let's not try to derail the conversation: the current mod who was getting lambasted deserves a degree of human sympathy. let's not take away from that by going into oh, but what about all the other mods.

i don't know every single instance the anon who made that point was referencing, and i've personally always stepped in - as i did this round - when i felt a mod or any other rper was not being treated fairly. the fact that increasingly more and more of us are doing so and able to speak up on this occasion that, hey, someone suffering a bereavement and convalescing from a sickness deserves grace is something that should be welcomed. if you can't see that, the problem is you.

i'm not in this game, as i've mentioned in previous comments. idk the mod, maybe all the criticism on rpa about them was valid. i still stand by the belief that whatever feedback needs brought to them can be done so in the new year, after they've had a period of tlc, because rl has screwed them over in ways that doesn't need exacerbation from an unpaid hobby.
