i was briefly plurk friends with this person years ago and she claimed to be an expert on so many topics and had stories about experiencing so many wild things i kind of assumed she was mostly making up being involved with dw admin. oops i forgot about volunteers.

good example of the stop assuming bad acts thing. she's one of those people who nervous chatters because of being afraid of everyone, but it's likely trying to be helpful/friendly like said above, not trying to impress you

it makes me sad because it looks like someone who went through ABA therapy social skills training as a kid, which is basically legalized torture. her plurk behavior is very much like what those "therapists" tell people to do with others. relatedly i wouldn't assume that having a big body of knowledge is made up because these victims are often human encyclopedias, that's the sort of person who ends up in that shit show. it does mean that as adults if they're trying to socialize they can be obnoxious knowitalls. but autistic 90s kids got taught to act like that

this shit explains a lot of dumb social awkwardness wank, like nael is another example even if pussyfingers was taking the "share experiences with others who show interest in friendship" thing more than a little too far. fart hotdog and art are the only two autism-claimers i know of who don't have some layer of 'i was taught to socialize like this and it's not actually good advice,' basically all the others do the same combo of nervous oversharing and "helpful" commentary
