da, but having seen him around, he seemed like one of those takes on knight (or knight-like) characters that's really just the player's idea of perfect boyfriend material. for instance think a captain america who doesn't really exhibit any of his actual traits, but replaces them by always saying the most basic nice guy thing possible to the point where tagging him is a waste of time

it's dull as dishwater no matter what character it happens to

They play Aymeric as if he were one of the cookie-cutter boyfriends from Love in Deep Space. Aymeric is a capable leader of Ishgard who serves as Knight-Commander and supports both the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and the WoL. He also has a political mind, which makes him much more than "another pretty boy nice guy." Furthermore, his vocabulary is not as mundane as the player makes it appear. Like, he does not speak like Urianger, but there are more neurons firing behind his eyes than that roleplayer is willing to show.

May I also add that Aymeric is competent? He is from a culture of god-fearing Elezens who worship Halone, the goddess of war. He understands combat and is a skilled tactician. Aymeric also suffers from trauma thanks to his warmongering father who was the previous Archbishop/leader of Ishgard.

So he is more than just a fuck stick for Night Sky, but the player in question reduced him to that level.

Addendum: I am not saying you can not have shippy fun with Aymeric. Just keep in mind that Aymeric, as the bastard son of a tyrannical Archbishop from a society of pseudo-Catholic elves, is probably hesitant to start a family with some random elf woman from another dimension.

There’s so many keynotes to Aymeric’s character more than just “the nice guy knight.”

Anyway, back to Lili here.
