to be fait HSR is not the first game to have those types of combat mechanics, just by far the most popular

and the 'main story' thus far is a retelling of the anime, though the event stories are original

oh im not saying hsr is the most unique model for turn-based combat in the slightest lol, if anything hsr itself is cribbing from persona and trails and other more quality stuff. but the madoka footage does seem to mirror it pretty closely, from the camera angles to the action order design to the fact that enemies appear to have nearly identical break bars/mechanics, etcetera. and seeing as hsr is so popular in this niche in the mobile space lately, i'd be ready to believe there's at least some influence there. can't blame them for using a formula that seems to work

anyway if the original bits of story are even just middle of the road but something to build on, maybe more madokas will come. bar isn't too high and there's still a lot of fans out there iirc

Every time someone makes this dumb complaint, some other anon tallies up the memes and shows that the ratio is nowhere near as unbalanced as everyone pretends. And I guess this time that other anon is me.

On Bakerstreet's front page right now there are currently 15 gen memes, 11 shipping memes, and 4 that provide prompts for both. Even if you count all of the dual purpose memes as shipping memes that's still a 50/50 split. That's not 'overwhelmingly' shipping memes or even 'mostly' shipping memes.

If it's not about feeling oppressed then why are the staunch gen-only players always crying about how shipping is overrunning Bakerstreet?
