eighteen thousand dollars could probably comfortably move me to the us from a different country, including visa costs, flights, and finding a pretty nice apartment (although granted as a student myself my definition of "pretty nice" is a) no roommates and b) not falling apart or covered in mold. but still)

$18000? sounds pretty right. there's paying for the travel, tuition, extra non-local fees, a place to live/rent/dorm, school texts, i could go on. though i guess it depends on how expensive the school itself is and where it's located.

ughhh this chick. She pisses me off so much. This isn't her first cashgrab attempt at milking the internet to pay her way for her. I'm not saying she isn't in a bad situation but srsly, fuck off. I had to remove her from plurk because she did nothing but piss me off with her incessant entitlement and whining and using her disability as a crutch and an excuse. So when you mute a plurk, are people still able to @ you, or does the mute prevent them from doing that thus they find out they've been muted? I'd rather they didn't considering it's not all from one person but things from different people I find stupid and so I mute them...
