God damn, I can almost understand autistic and trans headcanons/"headcanons" because those issues don't have much representation, but child abuse isn't exactly an uncommon subject. If someone is so desperate to use RP for therapy why not pick a character that was actually abused?

ehhhhhh this actually might or might not be weird depending on the context. if they're talking about their own OCs, it's not weird. if they're talking about playing characters that canonically were abused as children because it's something they are interested in due to their own background, that's also not weird.

if they're taking characters with no canonical child abuse history and adding headcanon child abuse because they were abused and can related, that's a little sketchy. particularly if they're doing it in games. nobody cares if you want to write fic or play musebox shit like that (i mean, probably some people care, but they're nosy and overinvested probably) but it's not cool to do that in games.

there is a person on my tl who never comments on my plurks but who clicks like on at least 50% of them

i keep thinking i should remove them because we haven't talked or shared a game in ages, and then... i plurk, and within an hour, they've liked it.

are they just the world's least coordinated plurk muter? are they engaged in a bizarre, silent, months-long attempt to pressure me into paying attention? i just can't tell, and it's starting to skeeve me out.

or it's someone who doesn't realize that plurk is not tumblr/facebook/twitter and that you don't need to like everything as a sign that you approve of what someone is saying, like you do on other social media sites.

it's a bit hard to describe, but they constantly do this coy "tee hee x would do that ~oops~" strikeout thing and then repeatedly call attention to that/continue that thread of response when the rest of the plurk has moved on

When people complain about the perfectly reasonable behavior of their parents while they mooch off of them? This girl flunked out of college, lives at home, doesn't pay rent, doesn't buy her own food, doesn't help with utilities, doesn't have a job and drives a car that her parents own but specifically bought for her to use. All she has to do is act as a 'caretaker' to her dad, something she's admitted outright is very easy and only takes an hour or two of her time a day.

And yet every single week she makes at least one plurk whining about the fact that her parents are having sex. In their own bedroom. With the door closed. And even warn her beforehand so that she doesn't have to overhear it. But without fail she bitches about it because she can overhear them having sex from the room with the Xbox. Which she bought with money given to her for college!

How the fuck does one person feel so so much entitlement with so little shame?

IDK if it's just me, but lately when I respond to a plurk I have to manually click the text box again to write another response. It used to just automatically go back to the text box.

I've accidentally started typing only to realize that the text box was deselected like ten times these last couple days.

I finally stopped getting positive-cheerleader responses in my plurks (even plurks that didn't demand them) from this person on my timeline that I don't like or even have any RP with (friend of a friend) and now there's another one who keeps jumping into all my plurks with hug emotes and pseudoencouraging bullshit I'm not asking for. Just because we play in the same circle doesn't mean we're friends. You are an overexcited puppy and I see you in everyone else's plurks anyway I don't want to see you in mine especially when IDGAF about your character.

I keep my plurk list small so I can understand my plurks getting lost in the timeline, but I've found lately that if I post a disaster happening IRL, there's always tons of replies, but anything else - RP, good things happening IRL - are usually ignored. I've given up on plurk memes entirely.

My life isn't batshit insane but it does make me wonder if people just have me around to rubberneck those moments it does go south. :/
