I don't see a divide, really, because all the anime and manga players have no problem tagging the LA characters, and what LA players I've seen are equally happy to tag out to anime and manga characters. For example, Dean Winchester has a lot of Eastern media CR that I've seen.
But it does seem like a lot of our remaining LA players are pulling out, either by dropping entirely or just idling. It's kind of sad, because as an anime/manga player myself, I'd love to see more diversity with some more LA canons from any part of the world, but it seems like there's more 2D media players interested in the game than LA players. :(

taking into account the birth/death rates between 1945 to present day in america, plus the average age of marriage in those years (between the 40s and 80s for example, women were getting married at around 21 yrs of age and men at 23) i'd say that averages each generation into about 20 to 25 years rather than 30.

Anon, I want to personally thank you for calling that suicide crisis hotline, because that would have been a loss that no one could ever replace and I would have never gotten to talk to you. I don't know what drove you to that brink but I hope you never, ever find yourself there again.

I may not know you personally, but I know you're important and you've lived a life that no one else has lived, and those experiences amount to a person who's important, special and unique. No matter what you think of yourself or how far down you think you've fallen, you as an individual have the power to help so many people. Think of what my one anon comment did for you. You can pass that gesture onto everyone else you meet, if you chose to, and help someone else the way I helped you.

I'm one of the few remaining LA players, and I will say that I am trying to hang on because I enjoy the premise of the game and I love how it's run, but it's a struggle to stay engaged because I'm not familiar with a HUGE majority of the characters in-game.
This isn't a snobby "weh weh animus" thing, all of my CR is cross-medium and I do enjoy it, but there is that spark that comes from playing off characters you're familiar with that I'm missing. Like I look at the reserves list and can't make heads or tails of any characters on it while people on my plurk timeline are dissolving in feels, and I miss that aspect. It may be a small and petty thing but it can contribute to a feeling of exclusion too.

i'm the same way, not in the game, and honestly that's why i was put off from joining. it doesn't help that my past 3 game experiences have been like that, so i told myself i wasn't going to join a game unless i'm excited about the taken characters page

I'm kind of awaiting the influx of people who love the series but have literally no idea a book of it exists.
We've known there was going to be A HUGE PLOT in april for months now, so for you to make plans despite that is really your own fault.
And I like slice of life, but I don't need OP to like what I like.
