I laugh at tmi memes in these games because of the number of characters who shave and trim who would never ICly seem like the type to give a fuck about pubic hair maintenance.

I doubt the hardbitten stubbly warrior from a grimdark fantasy canon who rarely even bathes keeps his balls baby smooth.

Also the sheer number of characters who are circumcised when it just makes no goddamn sense for them.

It just stems back to 'ewwww foreskiiiin' from virgins who think that if you're not cut you're filthy underneath it.

tbh this is more probably because most RPers are American and most American men are circumcised

I agree, and in my experience one leads on from another. It's the Americans I know who decide their characters are uncut decide it because 'it's cleaner/neater', even though it makes no logical sense for their character. RPers from other parts of the world generally don't have this misconception about circumcision because uncut dicks are the norm.

a friend's mom once told me that uncut men would get horrible infections and all kinds of crazy stuff. I think that's the kind of misinformation that people have.

I don't talk about hair in my porn because most normal people when having sex don't actually give a fuck. Unless my character is exceptionally hairy or exceptionally hairless, I'm not going to bother.

put body hair in your preferences. seriously, i won't go into detail on my character's pubes unless there's a point to it. not because body hair is gross, but it's something i take for granted so i don't think to mention it.

I assume this, as well. But that might just be because the characters I play have pubic hair. So I just tend to assume that other characters do as well.

See, I *enjoy* a teeny bit of gentle pubes tugging/comb-through as a passing mention, but I'd never think to actually list that as a specific kink.
