Out of the loop outside of third-hand deets, but Sarah Connor had cancer in canon, so what was wrong with the plot?

The way the mun handled it. Talking it up as some great awareness-raising thing and making up banners declaring it to be ~the Sarah Conner cancer plot~ in fancy script and

the only awareness thing about it was that it was run in october which is where the mun got the title from. stupid? yes. gross? no. it was a personal plot, one that needed discussion (which was done on a spam comm) and was cleared with the mods. could have done without the shiny graphics but if you look at her ax journal she's still photoshopping everything in sight.

big deal, she wanted to explore sarah's cancer and negative power effects. she wasn't the first person in cnc to do something with cancer. first to name a plot and put up a synopsis plus timeline, maybe. that was done in sarah's journal. she also had a majority support of players posting to that thread. it was stupid plot name wank/stupid graphics wank, imho.

god forbid anyone get excited about a personal plot

all i remember is a bunch of buttmad rp!s frenzy about the title and the posts on the spam com and sarah's journal.

somebody will give better deets (I wasn't in the game at the time and this was like three years ago) but basically some players organized a player plot to go help people in Haiti when the Haiti earthquake happened (I think they also had another player plot that was based on irl events before?). People on rpanoncomm and rpsecrets raised a huge justified stink about it and afterwards plots like that were banned from the game (like it should have been in the first placce).
