I hate her Maka so fucking much. Whenever her Maka gets upset, Mozart makes her go so over the top and dramatic. In fact, everything about her Maka is overly-dramatic and seems attention seeking. I don't see how her canon mates can play with her when she's so OOC. I would contrit her Maka but there's just way too many things wrong with her Maka that I don't even know where to start.

Yeah, pretty much this. I'm still pretty mind blown how she talked down and judged people about rping in sex games and the like but then secretly plays it herself.

I hope they never get a Spirit. She fucks up Maka's issues with her father so badly that it would just be a miserable experience for them. Because obviously Spirit is evil and the epitome of all that is bad in the world.

I'm surprised she has a Kid and they're staying, tbh.

most likely. i remember her telling an anon that the reason why maka curses more than normal was because she had been influenced by karkat.

Like okay Spirit was a shitty husband and a shitty father, that's a given. But that doesn't make him THE WORST. Hell it's not even close to being the worst possible in the subset of 'men who have trouble keepin it in their pants'

Exactly. Maka, in canon, definitely gets annoyed with him and calls him out when he does something shitty (like the whole cheating thing), but they do have father/daughter moments. He gave Maka his ex-wife's wedding ring and Maka happily accepted it and he hugged her also and she didn't react negatively about it.

Even in the recent chapters, Maka and Spirit fought together and they resonated pretty well together. If Maka hated him as much as Mozart is leading her on, they wouldn't had resonated at all.

Maka says she hates her father but she doesn't hate hate him. I believe she only says it to get under his skin like any other teenager.

When she says that it's almost always in frustration in response to something he did and shouldn't be taken literally.

Their relationship is complicated and broken but they're still father and daughter and the love between them still exists. Maka wants her father back but can't accept his behavior. Spirit wants to repair their relationship, but is unwilling or unable to modify his behavior to do so. Which makes him a flawed human being and a shitty father. But he's not a monster. Just kind of an ass.

Yeah, this. Also, Okubo pit Spirit against Medusa and when Medusa explained that she was Chrona's abusive mother, SPIRIT GOT FUCKING PISSED. The comparison between them and their feelings for their kids can't be clearer: for all of his hugeflaws, Spirit does love Maka dearly and would NEVER abuse her in even 1/10 of the way Medusa treated Chrona.

So flawed as Spirit is, Mozart is clearly subjecting him to Ron the Death Eater despite how canon openly compares him to a much worse parent and established limits. Projection, much?

it's totally projection. there's never been any doubt that she uses maka as a mouthpiece, so her misconstruing maka and spirit's relationship so she can vent her sjw misandrist frustration is not surprising at all.

She's kinda like this with Soul, too.

Every time there's a Soul in dear mun, she guilt trips them and purposely makes them feel shitty at the fact that she got killed and he wasn't there to protect her.

Probably why every Soul idles out after joining.

I'm not in Vatheon but I have seen a good amount of threads of her Maka and I do know somewhat of Soul Eater. What I'm noticing about her Maka is that she's always talking about Rin (her boyfriend). I'm not against of her wanting to play a ship or whatever but it just seems that Maka is always talking about Rin or throwing in people's faces that she has a boyfriend. And iirc, Maka isn't exactly boy crazy.

It doesn't matter what character she plays, they have to have a boyfriend and revolve around that fact.

It makes her anti-man sjw shit that much better.

it's not just maka constantly mentioning it, either. she also plays jade harley, who always has to point out rin has a girlfriend (maka) like every other conversation.

... So she's somewhat playercesting, too?

iirc all these characters live in the same house, maka and jade included. i wouldn't really call it playercesting since i don't think jade and maka ever directly interacted but it i just think it's weird that even jade seems to be obsessed with mentioning maka's boyfriend.
