Yeah, but the longest Homestuck hiatus has been... what, a month? A month and a half? God knows what the fandom will get up to with an unspecified number of months to wait.
the longest hiatus was Cascade's. It lasted roughly 2 months (going off AH: Close Tome which happened on 8/22 and Cascade was 10/25). So yeah we have no idea how long this hiatus will be but we can survive it. Most people are predicting a return on 6/12 because of significant numbers, but no one really knows for sure.
Eh, Hussie only based his return on a significant number last time because it had already taken so long, and he intentionally waited another week just 'cause. It was a coincidence more than anything, but given the content (3/14 + 6/25, etc.) it did turn out to be pretty serendipitous.
