if you avoid veggies and just eat fries and shit, of course you'll end up being fat. Duh.

Not exactly true.

I've been eating junk food for years, it was funny in my secondary school days because my biology teacher couldn't understand how I wasn't grossly overweight.
It's also about the quantity of what you eat. I eat a lot of junk food but I also rarely eat in general, hence the lack of any real weight gain. Not because i'm worried about putting on weight, I just stick to eating when i'm actually hungry.

Yes, exactly true, actually. You just have a very abnormal brain. The average human brain doesn't work like this. For the simple fact that the junk food works by not making you satisfied unless you eat quite a bit more.

You're simply one of the few lucky people. Unfortunately, people like you don't actually prove the mountain of studies wrong that, well, prove you wrong. You're just an exception well on the outside of the bell curve.

You also are at risk for some other pretty bad health issues.

Being thin doesn't mean you're health, and that is a terrible trap to get caught in, because it often ends in sudden serious unexpected health consequence.

And like the person above said, if you personally are health, you are an abnormality on top of an abnormality.

It's not just about weight, but nutrient intake as well, that affects total body health. In particular, if you're a woman, you are probably at severe risk for osteoporosis, just as one of many examples.
