I've never thought they were OOC, but Ziva's player has run off castmates by flipping out about people bringing in potential love interests for Sean's characters, saying that they RP as their characters in the bedroom so she was uncomfortable with reserves or upset about new people joining. I've never understood why they play in a sex game and get other people involved in the middle of something that's obviously very personal for them.
That was a whole other issue. I understood the complaint when it happened, and was glad she at least apologized for that incident. However, I've never felt pressured by her to stay away romantically from Sean's characters, or from her own for that matter.
But that's also a few months old now, and we haven't heard a peep since then on that, so it's just a bit stale at this point.
I've seen people smut with Sean before and have no problems in the past, I think the issue was that she dropped the character in question previously and was upset over her being picked up??? something like that. Which of course she apologized for getting upset on plurk and to the mun involved, but the person who apped her idled out and then Sean dropped Snow right after due to a busy work schedule so it was kind of a moot point anyway. Not sure why people keep bringing it up.
Sean's a cool guy OOCly and was a fantastic mod for 3 years of the game's run.
I can still be uncomfortable and choose not to play the sex part of a sex game with people who have got some obvious issues with maintaining the IC/OOC line. Being a nice person and a good mod doesn't magically prevent that.
You can, and I don't feel that you should be judged for being uncomfortable, but others can still be comfortable and have no problems smutting with them. While she does have issues to address, not everyone has had some horrific experience smutting with them outside their ships.
It has nothing to do with being a good mod or nice person. Not all of us have had this problem with them.
