I'm not sure where you're getting that interpretation from? I read the op as complaining about people who only show up for any threads at AC time. I didn't see it as them slamming on people who do have other threads going but might not have one long enough for AC.
Plus I'm sure you probably don't phrase it like, "well I need AC who wants to thread with me". Usually when I've seen plurks from people in your situation it's more of a, "hey, I'm coming up short on AC. can anyone boomerang a thread with me?" or, you know, something else that says they have threads but the threads aren't long enough for whatever reasons (whether because the other character dropped/is on hiatus, the other person is a slow tagger, or the thread simply reached its conclusion before AC length).
Yep that's pretty much it. If it's a player who's actually around during the rest of the month, I don't care. But when I'm left going "wait, we have a [CHARACTER NAME]?" because of how sparingly they tag then yeah there's a problem.
Though whining about it on plurk instead of, you know, going to the comm and tagging into another post makes me side-eye people too.
