I love rolo and would totally play him because crazy obsessively devoted characters(yandere or otherwise) is like my secondary character type but the stigma attached to him makes me nervous
plus with my experience with other characters of this type, people tend to automatically assume I'm going to ship push even when I outright say I don't ship it(or don't ship it requited in the case of a character who's canonically in love with the other) and just want to play a fucked up character...so I'm always wary
anon tbh most people won't give a fuck so long as you're not crazy and the splotlight does not shine as brightly as you think. i've played rolo myself and i've known another decent rolo and neither of us ship-pushed so there were never any problems (i was actually praised for my non-ship-oriented interpretation since i mostly focused on how fucked-up he was).
so if you want to play rolo, i encourage it; lord knows we need some good rolos to even out the trainwrecks (not that their magnitude of disaster will ever be evened out, but still)
