Genderbends are almost always a gratuitous silly thing to do to a character, but this one happens to be sustainable and takes into consideration a lot of development over a long period of time. You're just grouchy about how her and another player wanted to ship in a game setting that wasn't an inherently romantic one? Are characters not supposed to have emotional relationships in a plot/action-heavy environment or something?
What does this even have to do with Outsiders? It's not like she's shipping to the detriment of failing to have CR with other characters.
