It seems pretty boring so far, is the manga any better?

The anime and the manga are identical. Though I have to ask, how far into it are you? If it's boring you even from the first or second episode in, I have to wonder what sort of action pace you're used to in anime.

More the story is bland. The action is okay, but the story seems to be worse than even crap like Naruto.

Yeah, except there's bizarre in an interesting way, and in a bland way. So far, it's the later. I'm sorry that I don't appreciate your relig... canon enough, I guess?

no no, I'm actually sorry for coming off aggressive, you're perfectly okay with not getting into it. but yeah, JJBA is mostly noted for its strangeness. In the early parts of the series, it was the shonen-horror-ultraviolent kind of bizarre, but it evolves over time into something a bit harder to define. you'll notice it even as early as part 2 where things start to shift, even if part 2 is still Very Shonen, even as weird as it is.

The anime is the closest thing to a perfect adaptation as is likely to ever exist for any work ever. If you're not digging the anime, it's really doubtful you'll enjoy the manga.

That being said, Phantom Blood (the very beginning of the series) is pretty well universally recognized as the worst part of the series. You might like later stuff more.
