I'm not a Homestuck, but this just makes me wonder why there aren't a ton of Homestuck-only games. The vast majority of players from this series aren't into cross-canon CR at all, and there are enough characters to support a single-fandom game with relative ease, so what's the deal?

I'm not a homestuck fan either, but I've seen a couple of open museboxes for homestuck only and heard there was a single fandom game for it in the past.

But yeah, you guys should really do a single fandom game for it. If any single fandom game could succeed in DWRP, it's homestuck.

Then allow aus. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch, the concept is canon-sanctioned anyway.

I play from Homestuck and I fully support this idea. I wouldn't play in it because I actually really like cross-canon CR and make an effort to develop it, but it would provide a place for people who just want to play with other Homestuck characters and also might make it a less dominant canon in smaller games.

Isn't there some new au game that's going around that's single cast and already almost filled? Not in it myself but I've seen mention of Hospitalstuck tons of times and how there are still slots open.

not a game so much as a group psl/musebox, anon. no apps, no nothing, just grab and go.

isn't that basically what jarjammed is? plus some cross-canon characters aued to fit the setting, iirc.

Jarjammed turned me off because you couldn't have your character know anything about Sburb prior to being apped in.

not sure what jarjammed you're talking about, anon, but it's not the one i'm playing at. the majority of characters are not homestuck characters. out of the 81 characters currently listed as active, there are 12 ou, 6 au, and 5 oc homestuck characters. this means that in a game where the homestuck universe is the setting, less than a third of players are homestuck characters. the mods also don't allow cherubs, felts, etc. or they didn't. the game is reaching its climax and is no longer accepting apps.

that homestuck elitism shit those actual trolls this thread are about? not so much.

Same :( Honestly I love cross canon cr, my favorite cr right now is cross canon cr. Honestly most players I've come across seem to feel the same.

i'm having much more fun now that our once complete cast has dwindled to just a handful of characters now. cross-canon cr is the best and so much fun to play out.

giant casts are just exhausting to me. everyone wants you to keep up with them exclusively and you just come off super uninviting. tiny casts are great.

i've tried so hard to find games with decent tiny to nonexistent hs casts because of this.

i hate feeling obligated to tag canonmates when there's no actual reason to interact with them besides that. and i can't really fault anyone for having a kneejerk reaction to hs characters, although being in a smaller cast makes me feel like other players will tolerate them better for whatever reason.

eh, i'm in a big cast but pretty much only three or four of us are really active, so most of my close cr comes from cross-canon. i like all the cr i have.

it's hard to be when so many people hate you for playing a homestuck character and don't want CR with you at all but don't TELL you and instead just passive aggressively play along but then ignore you whenever you try to plot with them.

i'm sorry, anon. you guys have such a shit reputation thanks to a lot of other assholes, even though there are some genuine gold stars out there. i've tried, i really have. but i've always hit the revolving door of characters or always being ignored after a few boring tagbacks, so i gave up. :(
