I don't know anything about Skyla, but if I knew that was going to be my welcome to Asgard, why would I join?
Worse than the welcome she got, is the fact that people are actually defending the rudeness which pretty much kills any motivation I might have had to try Asgard.
Sounds unfair to probably most of the players, but rude is rude and I certainly wouldn't want to play with anyone that rude.
Not everyone in the game feels like that and I would hope that it's either trolls from outside the game and that everything happening is actually all being stirred from outside the game, or that it's a very, very small minority that are acting like idiots.
I don't know if the PM came from inside Asgard or if it was from someone from a past game that's been suggested, but anyone that's using the 'she's a wanker so she deserves it' argument has some issues they need to work out.
no one in Asgard even knows Skyla. her castmates didn't get a chance to meet her before she dropped.
I'm 90% sure everyone in this thread telling her she deserves it is a troll or someone with some grudgewank that probably sent the PM in the first place. everyone in Asgard right now is upset this is happening because we have no clue who these people are or what's happening and it's reflecting poorly on our game.
if she had just said someone sent her a rude PM and she didn't appreciate it, I'm pretty damn sure most of our players would've commiserated and offered her cr anyway. this is such a shit thing to cast on a game that has no part in this other than being the last straw for someone being a bitch.

Honestly though, if your reaction to one person doing something is to slam all of us and accuse us all of one person's behavior, then...maybe it's better you don't join us either. We don't want your "guilt by association" attitude in Asgard.
another asgard player chiming in to say can we stop with this attitude? maybe it was someone in the game, maybe it wasn't. but we sure as hell aren't making ourselves look any better by getting defensive and trying to act as if it couldn't possibly be someone in the game. we're not perfect, i'm sure we have our bad apples just like every other game out there.
if it was an asgard player, then shame on them for doing that rather than taking their concerns to the mods. i can say from my experience that i've had nothing but good experiences with the people in this game so i really do hope that people can overlook one possible rotten apple out of the bunch, but i can also understand how this might sour someone from wanting to join the game and i can't blame them for that either.

that's true, and like i said, we don't even know if it was someone in the game. but since we don't know who it was, everyone is equally suspect and i can understand why and how that might make someone feel uneasy.

I am an Asgard player, and a pretty new one. I don't know jack all about this person but if I had been greeted that way by this game, I'd have dropped.
I'm really sorry she wasn't given a fair chance and I'm going to be extra friendly with new people for a little while to do my part at making sure people are welcomed, since we may or may not have someone in the community who's being a buttface. It's not that hard.
