they ARE right that it's very blatantly a go nagai-inspired work

go nagai was pushing the boundaries in his work pretty damn hard in the 1970s all around which is why he's ridiculously influential

most of the people i know who like KLK like it precisely because of the go nagai 70s nostalgia factor

hell right in the article they point out that go nagai handled these types of characters marginally better by having them be willingly empowered in their own right and owning their sexuality with confidence

it's kind of embarrassing that the guy who was seeing just how far he could go for the shock factor in the 1970s did a better job with these concepts than a modern production is
