no

people are entitled to feel distaste

they aren't entitled to demand some goddamn essay outline on the "progression of the relationship" as if it's something to justify

two people wanting to rp a thing

they rp'd the thing

they were both happy with the way they rp'd the thing and want to continue doing it

the cast gives no fucks about the thing being rp'd

why do YOU give a fuck?

Where the hell did you get the idea that the cast doesn't care?

from this thread

but honestly, if it turns out the cast does care then they're perfectly within their rights to ask that their character not be involved at all. still think that way too many people have broken scroll buttons at EV though...

Because statutory rape pisses us off?

statutory rape is a fluid thing and it's a shitty excuse. in this instance, i can understand the problem, but i've seen parents of the younger partner charge the elder for stat rape when there's a year or two difference. and it's not like they're fourteen. this is like, a fifteen and a seventeen year old. or a sixteen and eighteen year old. it's a wobbly line and since i've seen some shitty behavior on behalf of parents using statutory rape as a way to control their kids' dating lives, that excuse can get shoved.

fictional statutory rape pisses you off?

personally i would rather concern myself with non-fictional problems but by all means, protect those fictional teenagers at all costs.
