If you don't want to support at all THEN DON'T READ OR WATCH IT AT ALL. Jesus Christ, if you read/watch something and talk about it/rp it/make it look appealing in anyway, people are going to go out and support the person you don't want supported.
I'm sick of people thinking thievery is a way of not showing support. It's not. If you're serious about it you don't view or use the product in anyway.
holy shit, this. you're still consuming media created by this person and helping to boost the popularity of his work. don't pretend you get sjw points because you don't have enough willpower or integrity to follow through and ACTUALLY boycott his shit and not give him any attention at all.
you care more about getting to watch what you want for free than showing real solidarity or sticking to your principles so gtfo with this phony shit.
This is why I hate SJWs. They talk a big game but God forbid they actually do something to support the causes they talk about so much if it involves inconveniencing themselves in any way.
But I guess the hardship of not watching a mediocre movie based on a mediocre book is just too much to bear. Like gawd, you'll be out of the fandom loop on something! You'll miss out on seeing that creepy kid from merlin in a movie! How can anyone expect you to make such an unreasonable sacrifice as not watching a movie or reading a book just because you claim you're boycotting?!
It's not even like we're tallking about one of the fucking masterpieces of Western literature or greatest movies of all time here.
So just fucking admit it and see it legit, don't take half-measures like pirating it as if that'll actually do anything besides hurt the people who worked on the movie.
no one said that. no one said pirating entitled them to anything or that it made them a good ally or whatever it is you're getting mad about. no one even acted like that in this thread.
