Wait, who ever says that in a way that doesn't mean exactly the same thing? I've been calling them "muses" for ages because that's what they were called when I started rping and while no they don't talk to me, sometimes a particular character's "voice" is louder in my head at a moment. That's where they would "demand" attention over another character.

It really just means that character is easier to play at the moment, not that I'm some kind of soulbonder and I'd be pretty offended if anyone took it that way.

then stop talking that way because that's what it sounds like

Only if you're a literal autist. Most of us understand context better than that.

most of us understand how to express ourselves without sounding like a soulbonder too

Most people who say things like that don't sound like soulbonders. Only people who have no capacity for anything except literal thought take these things that way when they're not expressed to the extreme. Sounds to me like you have a mental defect, sry2say.

If you're the same anon that the ayrt replied to, I love how you're so defensive about this that you can't find a way to participate in the discussion without alleging "mental defects." Your butthurt is delicious.

I hate the phrase ~intent is magic~ but it's applicable here. The people I'm referring to REALLY DO believe their "muses" or "headvoices" are entire entities sharing their headspace and will occasionally say things like "this character is fronting and thus I'm moody as fuck" because the character that is "fronting" is, well, moody as fuck. Or claiming that they can't function, because they're devastated about something that happened to their character and they are feeling their emotions.

If you're well aware that your character is fictional and are saying things like that, then it bugs me less, and, honestly, the only way someone can tell is how often you say it and in what context.
