hon I've gone out sans makeup, lots of zits, greasy hair, pale as fuck because I was sick, only wandered around in sweat pants and holey t-shirt and still got hit on by three people in the span of an hour

the problem isn't your looks it's you

if you smile, if you are polite, if you are approachable, and if you feel sexy and confident (or just believably act like it) you will usually get hit on because people will be drawn to you

the only time looks have changed behavior that i've noticed have been on the extreme ends of societal standards of beauty

how do you know they're not on that extreme end?

you know what? I don't

and I am sorry about assuming that

vaguely off topic but I've noticed I get hit on/checked out more by guys when it's that time of the month. I have no idea why because I feel like shit and I'm thinking more about where my next salty/chocolate snack is going to come from than about anything sexy but I swear they can sense it and are drawn to it. My girl friends and I joke about it so I'm not complaining.

if your period comes with a general feeling of not giving a fuck about anything bc fuck this menstrual bullshit, that's probably why.

that's actually pretty cool. Thanks, nonnie. And hey, not going to complain if I get a little self-esteem boost on days when I'm feeling particularly ugh.
