if I have someone on my timeline unfollowed, because I want to be able to do plotting plurks with them, since we're in a game, but I don't want to see the NSFW spam they put up all the time, if they anon plurk, it still shows up on my timeline.

can't fucking win.

dude, call them out on that shit. anonymous nsfw posts are not cool, and since you'd be anon too, there's nothing stopping you from tearing them a new one over it.

tell them to keep it with their name attached and make a porn clique if they're so eager to share what they're shlicking to.

are you 100% sure it's them

because I've done the follow/unfollow trick to find out who anon plurks come from and it works. unfollowed anon plurks don't show up on my timeline.

either way call them out on anon for their NSFW spam that's not cool

Hmm. Call-out happened, but more importantly, the unfollow trick doesn't seem to work. Just ran a test, had a friend make an a regular plurk and an anon plurk, unfollowed them, the one with their screen name on it disappeared, their anon plurk stayed on my timeline. re-followed them, both show up again.

Uh-unh, anon plurk with no responses. Grab someone online and try this out. i think they changed how anon plurk works.

it doesn't work for things already on your timeline.

but we're talking about anon plurks, not logged in plurks. if you unfollow someone's timeline, the anon plurks that were already on your timeline stick, the future anon plurks don't.

i thought the ones that were on the timeline didn't stick.

i'd responded to an anon plurk but wanted to know who it was. i asked a mutual friend who also saw the anon plurk (but didn't respond) to unfollow them to test, and the anon plurk disappeared on their timeline. they refollowed the person and it appeared again. (you have to refresh the page.) also i was with this person irl when it happened and saw it on their comp so no possibility of them saying "oh no it disappeared it's totally them" to stir shit.

but i sort of get the feeling this is plurk being inconsistent/glitchy/updates only being fully effective for some people
