what does 13 years mean in troll years? because i thread with them and not a single one behave like kids, they're more like teenagers or even older (sorry i'm canon blind)
They're six sweeps old by their species time-table, which means they're basically the equivalent of 13 year olds on Earth. Whether they're written as 13 year olds actually behave in canon or RP, I have no damn idea since I don't read the comic or RP with many Homestucks.
Homestuck characters, even the humans, are weird in their upbringing. In the trolls' case, they live in an extremely hostile society where even their caretakers might attack them for one reason or another, so they have to step up pretty fast. They're technically still teenagers, but act more like older teens or childish adults.

plus if they're the equivalent of 13 human years and parading around as sexual objects for the sake of business promotion, my charater would call that shit out so fast
when it comes to fantasy creatures i generally ask what it means in their world because 13 human years may not work the same way for them, so depending on the case, 13yo may not be a child

Also, to add on to that, we see other trolls of the same age acting very skeeved out by sex (or the things that symbolize sex for them, in this case buckets). One of them yells at a human for having a sex object (said bucket) out where she can see it, etc. Not only that, but Feferi doesn't even seem to know that she's being used as a sex symbol for the commercial ("all I have to do is wear funny clothes!"), which ups the skeeviness by a thousand.
WTF. Is this Vriska's conversation with John you're talking about? Because I seriously just read that again the other day and never once did she yell at him. If anything she was more embarassed and did the whole demanding thing that she does because she's Vriska that he discard it because it was dirty to her culture. She neither freaked out or yelled at him, if anything she more closely resembled a teenager that accidentally stumbles upon a friend with a porn mag for the first time and politely asks that it be put away. Which is really exactly what was going on there.
Regardless of how old they act it's still gross to see a thirteen year old pole-dancing. I know 13 year olds in real life that talk about sex, which is skeevy enough but you deal. Seeing them actually put on skimpy clothing and do a pole-dance? That's just gross. Add in that they're talking about being easy and trying to sell sex...
Homestuck trolls are weird even for a fantasy race because depending on an in universe factor, their life spans vary extremely wildly. Some can live only to the same lifespan as a human while others can live thousands of years.
But they develop at the same rate and yeah Feferi would still be a kid/young teen.
since no one else pointed this out-- all the canon trolls are children by their society's standards. if they were of age, they would have been in the troll space fleet (since there are no adult trolls on the troll home planet).
... well not ALL the canon trolls, but the original 12 that you see the most (Karkat, Kanaya, Vriska, Eridan, etc.)
Canon is currently introducing another 12 who are about ~18-ish? and there are historical adult trolls who are mostly all dead, but that's later shenanigans and stuff.

i remember a discussion once (can't remember the canon) about a 100 year old character, for his race he was a child because they live like 900 years
