no, i agree completely. i love his characters, especially snake who i think is one of the most developed characters in the entire medium.
mgs1 will always be my favorite in the entire series because it felt like he had other people behind the scenes giving him input and constructive criticism. if kojima had someone around to edit his shit and give him more crit, i think the series wouldn't have turned into such a clusterfuck like it did.
tbh I feel a lot of the clusterfuck situation is because kojima never writes with plans for another in the series and then gets made to pull a sequel out of his ass when he's already written himself into a corner.
so he keeps having to pull a lot of bullshit just to get out of the corner, only to end up in another corner because he hasn't learned that he's probably going to be asked for more or possible because he tried to make it so they couldn't ask him for more and they did it anyway.
