anon, when you see a bunch of comments pop up one after another after another after another, it's likely a sameanon. not always, but it's a good chance.

really it depends on the time of day. in the evenings when most people in america are home from work and school and it's a hot topic, it very likely isn't sameanon. i can't count how many times i've chimed into a busy thread for the first time only to have some flatview moron start screeching sameanon.

at buttfuck 3-5am est, it's a lot more likely.

I was actually beginning to wonder about that. I'm in PST, so when I find myself chiming in, I always get "can you even fucking read?" for being hours behind everyone else.

Not really. It's not uncommon at all for an active thread to get several replies within a minute of each other. Wankgate isn't that dead.
