the argument is FOR the other side. sure the person can app in/reserve in/go on the tdm, but if they WANT to be able to get a hold of the other person or any other castmates, there's no easy and handy way for them to do it now.
usernames being visible in more than just 'look who's on the comm' has been a thing since as far back as games started. all games have username visibility. there are reasons for it. people shouldn't have to bug the already busy and overburdened mods to pm their potential castmates to hand over secret information of WHO THEY ARE just to figure out all the details to app into a game.

okay anon i'm going to spell this out for you: if that person app'd in regardless of not being able to look up who their castmates are then they don't give a shit about who they're playing with. if having visible usernames would make or break them app'ing they wouldn't app.
