no persona was the first franchise i thought of that is popular enough and anime enough to regularly attract the kind of rper who only wants to play out self-indulgent threads with their friends and ignore the game at large, mcu like anon above you suggested is another big contender
most other things i can think of that also attract that kind of rper aren't franchises
