For most of its heyday CFUD had no activity requirements, and whatever people complain about ECATS, that game sure had no problem being active back in the day. (They did still get squatters, the place was just huge enough there were always people doing things anyway.) But, you know, even that crowd couldn't keep things going that way forever. People needing to be prodded by force into actually participating in this hobby they chose to join is just part of the DWRP demographic and culture at this point
Ehh. While I see why anyone would have a problem with that, especially if it was pervasive, I guess you could rationalize it by saying he'd be raised less likely to shy away from those things if he was FtM. If I had to I'd take that over "headcanoning" a male character as MtF over that in a heartbeat, anyway.
a ton of ftms are less likely to embrace their feminine sides or have stereotypically feminine interests tho. i mean, sure, it depends on the person and where they are in their transition, but many ftms purposely distance themselves from anything feminine or express an outright hatred for "girly" things
it's a problem in itself, but it's definitely not uncommon behavior
does anyone else have this weird thing where they're fine with smutting with way out there ugly characters, like beasts or mutants or aliens or whatever, yet are repulsed by the idea of smutting with more mundane unappealing sorts, as in fat otaku self-inserts or ancient anime pervert dudes?
i just realized i have this mentality myself and was trying to understand why. why is one worse than the other?
if their plurk profile is 90% replurks from other people then we may have the same person
i feel bad because i unfollowed them for being 90% replurks but they're pretty ok otherwise, except that they always just either like or comment the exact same words to some of the plurks i make
basically every "this character is autistic/mentally ill/trans" or "this non human character is black" headcanons.
not because of what they, i've definitely done some of them, but because sometimes they get so prevalent that if you don't agree you're wrong and awful person. i've mostly seen this in the steven universe fandom, where amethyst is "coded brown" and pearl is "coded mentally ill" so if you don't like those characters you're immediately evil.
pearl is definitely neurotic, i don't think that's up for debate at all
but i'm kind of questioning translating that to mental illness, since neurotic is more of a personality type than an outright disorder, unless they're trying to argue OCD or something
"coded brown" is just hilariously racist and wrong though
The closing announcement came out of a conversation which included all of the mods, and which lasted several hours. The team came to the decision together, and before it was posted the mods who were left reviewed the draft and approved it. The state of the game, which followed a few hours later, was only written by two of the mods and a player, and it along with the poll were posted without the rest of the mod team's knowledge. The rest of the team later found out when players started contacting Gabby with complaints and concerns, assuming since she had posted the closing announcement she had also posted the follow-up.
...Wow, did they just basically admit to trying to steal the game from under the head mod flat out?
