honestly, mods reserve the right to accept applications or not anyway, and while the potential for abuse is high, the examples of it actually happening are relatively low. because when it does, people notice, and they remember, like with per caligo video.
the only thing i'm not wholly sold on about it is would anyone want pedro in their game even if he wasn't playing a preteen girl? and if someone's being limited by inability to pass activity, why does that only affect their options to app protags? i don't even try playing with protags anymore, because no one else really tries to play them.
good point, that'd reduce the amount of work involved with ac a lot
maybe make it a combo ac warning/link your threads here if you're on this list post.
i honestly think it'd reduce ac mod work significantly, because the thread-checking and comment counting would mostly be wrapped up into quest turn-in, and you'd only need to worry about a "classic" ac for people who haven't turned in a quest.
revise. the only reason why anyone knows about it was that the player themselves plurked about it. and naturally usagi was in there demanding to know who complained to the mods.
she was part of pyras clique and that clique was responsible for a lot of behind the scenes harassment and godmodding that went on. the game at one point literally just revolved around the grimdark plots she was running, and they raised a huge stink when players got sick of it and went to the mods asking for some kind of player plot approval system so the game stopped being bogged down by it.
lynsey is a decent mod but the other ones don't even seem to exist. shes just going to burn out at this rate.
gena was a decent mod too which was an issue because tora basically worshiped her and prioritized her over other players with the "nobody else can play stan" thing
regardless of what's going on, it's not the comods place to do that. what information ive seen kind of indicates that they have as much information as the other players.
that shit shouldn't be put on them since technically they are just list mods that are probably just given instructions.
because we haven't had one of these for a few posts now. describe an rp situation, anons will explain how they'd handle it if it came up in a game they were modding
I hate to tell you, but Bryke confirmed Smellerbee as trans last year or something like that. It was pretty dumb, and it reminded me of JK Rowling saying Dumbledore was gay after talk about HP died down just to garner more interest.
I think they confirmed Lin's butler or whatever, the earth kingdom guy who was evil and working for the book 3 villain, was also gay. Among others.
it's weird to me that you're describing offering activity rewards as "being forced to play"
they're not mandatory, so people who actually don't want to tag probably will still do something else. they're just a perk to encourage people to do more playing than talking about playing
if you're talking about the post from the tumblr account "bryke-official" then you're wrong. That's a fake account and not either of Bryke's actual tumblr accounts.
The only thing Bryke has said on the matter is that people mistook Smellerbee as a guy and she firmly corrected them because she is a girl, but that she doesn't care about looking traditionally feminine and doesn't feel she should have to. That she's still a girl regardless of the assumptions made about her appearance.
The only thing that's canon regarding her gender is that Smellerbee is a girl. Both Trans or Cis can be seen as headcanons at this point. I'm just offended that because she doesn't care about conforming her appearance to the binary, the "she is be Trans*" is shoved down throats as canon.
"She is be Trans*" was either going to be "She is Trans*" or "She must be Trans*" and somehow I ended up with both at once. Sorry for the grammar fail. Any other fails, idc
can we all just stop for a moment and appreciate the beautiful work of art pyra bestowed unto the cosmographia community upon being banned to explain why her characters disappeared from the game
Player A comes to you with concerns that new apper B has a history of ship-pushing and godmoding. A didn't directly experience B's bad behavior, only heard about it secondhand, but they say they're not comfortable with B joining the game.
However, all of the evidence A has is at least three years old.
What do you do? Would your answer change if B were already in the game?
i ran into this the other day too for the first time, apparently they won't take icons over 40kb? idk if this is a new thing or what since i've never seen it before, but if you run into it again, check your file sizes and adjust if necessary. for me, all i ended up doing was converting from a png to a jpg. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
