I did read through. Asking someone to hold off on a plot to give them time to fucking breathe, and then jumping ship to another band and being upset at the assumption that someone assuming this means no more CR ever and thus blocking them out of say on what their character would do? Is not controlling.
You wouldn't be batting an eye and calling the other person controlling if it weren't another wanker.
It's Hat/Fedora. She has a long history of heavily misrepresenting situations like this AND of being gross and manipulative over people RPing things she doesn't want them to. Is asking someone for a little breathing room in what seems like very dramatic CR unreasonable? No, not at all, but I'm willing to bet that Hat was less than reasonable about the way she asked for it. This is someone who has repeatedly had her characters turn against close CR specifically because the other players were too busy to tag or were flaky- not just cut off the CR, but made a point of constantly playing up how betrayed and hurt her characters were by it both ICly and oocly.
I don't know Quix beyond having been in the same game with them once or twice, I'm sure they're an asshole. But Hat will do anything she can to play the victim no matter how manipulative or abusive she herself may have been in a situation so frankly, taking her word at face value is a mistake.
Put it this way: if this had been Airi coming to Quix and asking to have her band changed, that'd be one thing. However this pastebin was a result of Airi constantly making vague but clearly targeted plurks about how people should be changing their plans to suit her. She was making no effort to solve the situation.
While I think Quix should've let her change bands the second she asked, which she did later on, I also think that changing her band would just result in the same problems for some other band down the line. Airi doesn't play well with others. Period. She spent the entire plurk trying to manipulate Quix and getting mad when she was called on it. I guess to people who haven't dealt with her brand of bullshit it looks like she was being reasonable, but her favorite thing to do is to point out how you're being a bad person and making her feel bad but will play the victim and insist you're reading too much into her words when you try to point it out when she's doing it.
In addition to that, Airi blatantly misrepresented the situation in regards to her power regain. She wasn't being blocked from getting them at all, she was just told that she couldn't jump too much at once. That's easy enough to fact check.
She's a textbook case of manipulation and shouldn't be roleplaying.
Oh ho man, I'm sure someone'll have the time to start going into the deets before I can, so for now I'll just say that even in a hobby overflowing with characters, I've never met someone who reminded me of this song more.
Airi's changed her identity three or four times now but hasn't learned a thing from any of it. Quix is no angel in this situation, but as someone who watched Airi pull this in other games? This entire thing is Airi's MO to a T. She harrasses and harangues people passive-aggressively to get her way. She'll accuse someone of invalidating her feelings when they were trying to explain why something made them uncomfortable or offering a differing point of view. And like in the pastebin, she'll tell you how you're feeling and how what you're doing is wrong while gaslighting you until you feel guilty and give in, insisting that she's not doing anything you're telling her she's really blatantly doing.
Airi is very much about her feelings and her fun trumping what everyone else wants to. She'll vague plurk, anon plurk, burst into plurks to passive-aggressively state her opinion, and draw as much attention to her discomfort as she can in an attempt to make you feel sorry for her. She has a victim complex a mile long and when she doesn't get her way she gets vindictive and petty.
she was undergoing tests for cancer and used it as an excuse to manipulate people a la "this game is all i have, if i really have cancer i could be dead in a year"
she is absolutely one of the most melodramatic bitches i've ever seen. and the way she soul bonds with kido is embarrassing and creepy. for a while when she wanted pity she'd say things like "i want to disappear" (which i guess was kido's catchphrase or something) because her life was so hard! and everyone was against her! and she just couldn't bear it!
some months back she complained to the mods about a plot some other players were doing in her game and the plot got shut down, she was then convinced that the players involved in the plot all hated her. she took this to truly autistic extremes like insisting that kido couldn't stay at her friend's band's apartment because a character belonging to one of these players also stayed there a lot. it was never even hinted that the two characters would have to interact--just that the other character stayed there a lot. and refusing to talk to another player about finding something for her character to do in a later plot. she just whined and whined about how she was being shut out of the plot and that it was deliberate on the other player's part, because they "hated her," ignoring any attempts by other people in her plurk to give her suggestions for things to do.

I played with Fedora/Hat a lot back in the LJ days of DDD. After a few months it became clear she had absolutely no control over her life and RP was making it worse. You either had to be 100% behind her, or she would be convinced you were trying to bring her down. You'd want to be concerned over her mental and physical health, but you'd quickly realize she was mindbogglingly manipulative about it. I've told her several times that she should quit RP because it was clearly bad for her health, she couldn't handle communicating with others civilly, she believed everyone was against her, and she didn't know how to adapt when things didn't always go her way.
And she's still in this hobby. For goodness sake, Fedora, if you are reading this, RP was terrible for you 6 years ago, and RP is still terrible for you now. Leave and get real help. Sincerely from someone whom you didn't bully away with your attitude many years ago.
I was still bright-eyed and new to journal RP when I got mixed up with Hat and for a long time I did genuinely consider her a friend and want to help her. But holy shit was she a conniving, toxic person.
I have no doubt that she's going through crap IRL but she has a persecution complex a mile long that multiple people have tried to help her work out to no avail. It doesn't matter what situation she's in, she finds a way to turn it into an absolute crisis in which she is the martyr who could do no wrong.
