When an rp partner regularly misinterprets your tags and you've just. given up on correcting them and roll with their misinterpretations.

either they can't read or you're bad at conveying what's going on in your tags

once or twice is one thing, but if they're regularly misinterpreting your tags, that's a flag tbh

i've wondered that about the latter, but i usually only have the problem with them.

i've got another rp parter that gets what i'm going for perfectly, so i wonder if our communication styles are too different? even if it's just that, it's tiring.

Have you tried talking to them about it or even telling them what you want?

I corrected someone the first couple times they didn't read/forgot something established, but after that I just accepted that this thread wasn't very high priority for them.

More to the point, "given up on correcting" implies they did at least once.

Given how people communicate in rp, it's not a baseless question.

Yeah, I had someone mix up two threads we were doing and it made things really confusing as hell.
