i literally said she godmoded myself and a friend for months or are you incapable of reading? i'm all for "wank credentials" so someone undeserved isn't shit on, but lbr here people see her and how she acts and even if you don't have cr with her it affects you and your game when you have someone like this in it. secondly, just because someone isn't directly and intentionally doing something to you doesn't mean it can't affect you when you see it happening to others you happen to enjoy playing with. even if it was just based on how she treats mods, it is completely uncalled for.
having been tagged by transtrender pidges before, i just ignore them. it also helps that i stress that i don't ship with pidge, which is what 90% of them are looking for, anyway.
as for other canons, it depends on what your general preferences are, ig. if you actually like rping with AU characters or just AUs in general, you're gonna have a hard time of it by putting "no AUs" in your preferences. at most, you can just say "i don't like deviating interpretations on gender due to personal reasons" and that should be enough to get people to lay off of it. it's not too callous to be an immediate TRANSPHOBIC!! flag, but it's firm enough that most (non-idiotic) people wouldn't push it.
of course, you'll always have some tone-deaf brainiac who thinks they're the exception to the rule, so really, outside of telling people who tag you to ... not tag you, there's no real surefire way to prevent it.
i actually wish i could add more people to my plurk from the game i'm in; the ones that just auto-add never, ever reply to my plurks, never reach out for CR, never... do much of anything. i don't get the point.
but i actually want to use plurk to plot for things! but i'm always too afraid to add people randomly or even ask to add cos i feel like they might react like all the anons above have... i'm proactive about getting cr! i just don't want to be a bother to half of these people in my game. a lot might have friends they'd rather plot with first, and all.
auto-adds are like that, yeah. i accept the fr, but most of the time i just end up unfollowing their timelines bc they add literally everyone in the entire game
i know this shy business on plurk, though. for me personally, i only ever commented in plotting plurks from people i already had cr with and put up plotting plurks of my own - if someone popped in, i'd respond to their plotting stuff from then on too. it's the kind of passive bullshit you hear people complain about, but it worked out for me.
i've never had the suicidal confessions to deal with, but i did get a lot of love/crush on me confessions a while back
sounds like they're either no-boundary having weirdos who like to dump feelings or that you're giving people the impression they can use you like their therapist. inform them that you're sympathetic but have mental health issues of your own that mean you can't really handle getting too deep into talk about suicide. if they push, drop that shit like the pimp's in the crib.
Yes, it isn't your responsibility. You're not a professional either way, and if they're suicidal they need someone who knows how to deal with it. Perhaps find someplace they can turn to for trained help and suggest it to them. I know there are hotlines, but an online chat may feel better for people these days.
you're not gonna get a discussion like that on here. no one can see shades of grey on this comm, either with simple RP wank or larger sociopolitical issues here.
i'm glad that media in general is allowing characters over the age of twenty to exist without making them look like they're decrepit and dying, but male/brooding/beard is pretty much the go-to protag these days.
fair enough. I mean I wanna be wrong, because this game piques my interest, but I'm really not wanting to bare witness to e-cats style players stumbling their way through integrating into the more common dwrp style of play.
