Organize tab → Test Beta Features → HTTPS Everywhere
Alternatively I have a Chrome extension that serves the same purpose.

here's how i managed to work around it in chrome, because https everywhere is kinda messed up
chrome://net-internals/#hsts
add dreamwidth.org to the domain list and check include subdomains so it also makes journals and communities to force load under https

I had to go in and give dreamwidth its own rule in HTTPS Everywhere, that solved it for me.

Opened up the HTTPS Everywhere pop up by clicking its icon in the nav bar, there's a button that says something to the effect of 'Add Rule'.
It does most of the work for you, just give it a glance that it's creating the regex statement to replace http://www.dreamwidth.org with https://
