Sometimes, not often but every now and then, I'll catch myself feeling a little guilty for cutting off contact with you the way I did. I read your messages, for what that's worth, I didn't just delete them out of hand.
But then I remember how clingy you were, like an ugly little dog desperate for someone to pet you, and then I don't feel guilty anymore, I just feel relieved. I know myself well enough to know I could never satisfy your gaping black hole of neediness and I'm too old and too set in my ways to try.
Still, I kinda hope you do find someone who can, even if you're almost as old as I am. I kind of doubt it, since neediness never looks on anyone, but supposedly there's someone out there for everyone. I hope you find them.
This is why I like Anders. The whole point is that it's not clear if he did the right thing or not. Even he doesn't seem totally sure he did the right thing, even in maxed friendship--he just feels that it's necessary, and he accepts that he probably deserves to die for what he's done.
It's the fandom that completely fucks him up. Here they have a gray and thought-provoking character, and they have to make him either the next coming of Andraste or the literal embodiment of evil. The fandom does the same thing to Fenris and Sebastian--none of them are allowed to be gray. They have to be perfect or they have to be scum.
You notice it's all the pretty boys that get this treatment?
haha, oh shit, really? that's unfortunate on so many levels. how shitty that must be to have a nickname dedicated to you for your shit-tier writing and preference-dodging... maybe he's just ignoring it out of spite, then.
is hei that arrogant and condescending towards women in his actual canon? my one thread with him had his hei captured and my action girl was supposed to free him, but i dropped it because his hei's thoughts were all about how awesome he was, how slow my chara was to hrlp him, etc.
i haven't watched DTB in several years but i remember Hei as Liney McLineface, typical stoic shounen protag. he was borderline completely apathetic toward all but two or three women, but Final is playing some AU so who the hell knows what's going on.
on one hand, sometimes having serious talks over text is easier than in person. you can usually think over your words before you type them out (tho not everyone does) whereas a verbal conversation is more impulsive.
but on the other hand, having arguments and chatter in public spaces where people can see does seem very attention-grabbing, whether they're the same or two different people. if you're going to argue, do it over private plurks or something.
iirc, she's still around at knightsoflegend, which is the pseudo d&d style game that's entirely populated by her and her buttbuddies. It got a bit of wank back in the day partly because it's entirely populated by her and her buttbuddies, partly because the game had a dumb 'you have to have a human pb' rule.
i've seen him in a mutual's plurk begging for ships explaining that his hei is some weird au so i can confirm
but that leaves the question why he would project his self insert into a bland emotionless main character he has to au to be remotely appealing instead of projecting onto LITERALLY anyone else
this. maybe his parents have extremely demanding jobs and work long hours. that doesn't make them 'abusive' or 'neglectful'. but i forget, so many womenchildren now consider not being constantly pampered and coddled a crime against humanity.
She's a bland, narcissistic, spoiled little brat who's never in the wrong for anything, ever (if you ask her). Her music is just as bland and lacking in likability as she is.
deets are vague-ish b/c they're all of the top of my head and this was like 3 year ago, but i was there when it happened and:
so one night kevin was having one of his long oh-woe-is-me-won't-someone-rp-with-me pity plurks (this was also before his "transition", for anyone inclined to get up in arms over this "misgendering"). during the plurk the subject of his "mother figure" came up, as he called her. i am still not entirely clear what this woman's blood relationship was to kevin, if anything, but mother figure was what he called her and i guess she was his meal ticket as he was living with her. he mentioned she had passed out in the hallway early on, nbd apparently, just something she did since she was an alcoholic, walking over her to go to the bathroom or kitchen (i forget which). some hours later, he posted this really eerie update that was so detached from humanity it might have come from a robot, it went something like "oh, my mother figure actually stopped breathing and i had to call the ambulance for her, i'm so depressed now, anyone want to rp with me?" so few people were paying attention that people didn't really start responding until the morning, giving the usual messages of shock and sympathy you'd expect, to which kevin was all "oh yeah, she died, so depressed BTW anyone want to rp with me??" shockingly, no one called him on this insanely sociopathic reaction until long after the fact, and to this day it's not entirely clear if there were really was a woman who died that night, or if kevin made the whole thing up in some awful-beyond-words attempt at getting some pity rp. either option doesn't really speak well of his humanity, though.
