i think that's honestly just the real unfortunate con to playing a lcw, it's so easy to get side swiped by your cr's canonmates
i've found it's really hard to find those people in large casts dedicated to making sure they have cross-canon cr. unless they actively pursue consistent cr, it's so easy for them to focus on just canon mates and it's even harder if said cast has been in the game for a long time

the anon above me has given good reason as to why the feelings I have, and the anon I initially replied to, are valid and not unreasonable. there really isn't anything in the description of the game that suggests that it will be crack with sprinkling of serious plot. there is a very heavy consequence suggested right there in the community description.
giving something a chance when it's not what you expected is fair. no one has said they are hating the game and staying despite that. again, you are knee jerk reacting to something that isn't a big deal at all. it's entirely normal to give things a chance if they don't match up to expectations. that doesn't mean you are torturing yourself by sticking around. you seem to think so, judging by your replies.
basically, it's entirely okay for anyone to criticize this game when it's a legitimate reason. that's all it is, a criticism. it's disheartening to see that there is at least one player at this game who cannot handle it when their favorite game receives some.

thank you, anon. this helps, too. but I was probably too vague in my op, sorry. I didn't just mean castmates, but friends of the player. so someone could play a castmate, someone else could play from a different canon, but they would both be friends of the person whose character I might be attempting to develop good cr with. and they both would get priority over mine, despite planning and plotting, as I said in my op.
