when not one but two characters played by people who Never Fucking Tag You Back have become central to the plot and it's hampering your ability to get any plot involvement
sort of both? it's hard to go into much detail without making the game obvious but mod plots are affected a lot by player plots.
from what i can tell they're not even flakes, they're legit active players who just... consistently drop *my* threads in particular. like they just don't like me personally.
how do you know they're consistently dropping only your threads? are you hunting down all their other threads and actively keeping track of which ones they reply to and which ones they drop? you sound like you're reading into this way too much, but if both of these people are consistently dropping your threads then it could also be that your threads are just boring or unengaging to them. what kinds of threads are we talking about here? is it a lot of small talk, do you give a lot for the other player to react to in your tags? do you play multiple characters that get dropped threads by the same people, or is it possible you just play a character type that isn't interesting to them? sometimes characters just don't click, it doesn't mean they hate you personally.
but if you want plot involvement, you should show initiative and go for it yourself. unless the mods themselves are freezing out plot info from players they don't like, someone else running their own plot and not inviting you doesn't hamper your ability to get involved. run your own player plot. plot opportunities are always out there, you just have to put in the work to get them instead of riding on other players' coattails like most do.
i don't know if it's happening to *only* me, but my threads get dropped fast enough that there's a visually obvious difference between their threads with me and their other threads under the same toplevel or other people's toplevels (i have a lot of cr in common with both of them so i see a lot of those). it's hard to analyze my own tags objectively but i don't think i tag them significantly differently than i do other people who tag me back just fine? i don't actually think either of them hates me but the *character* not interesting them is something i've considered. but that's not really a problem i can solve, you know?
part of the problem is that ic circumstances make it hard to plot anything significant and logically exclude them, especially with the common cr i mentioned. but hard doesn't mean impossible and after talking through this i'll definitely give it another shot. so thanks for the push i guess.
