i'm not the op. i don't think it's creepy. i just think that it would be more socially comfortable for someone to ask before adding. there's a sort of 'if you don't add me back, you're a dick' mentality that makes people who can't handle confrontation or who are socially awkward feel that they have to, otherwise (insert impending doom here).

just because 'a lot of people' are okay being socially extendable, doesn't mean that everyone is. it takes very little to just shoot a pp or ask in a mutual's plurk that you and your not yet plurk friend are taking over with your plotting to just go 'oh, hey, do you mind if i add you so we can stop taking over (x)'s plurk?' they can say no. if someone asks you, you can say no. i can say no. but there's a reason i don't list my plurk as a contact on my game's taken list, and when i make a cr meme post, i ask for a head's up first or for it to be cr only. because i'm an adult and i'm controlling what part of my life i can. just acknowledge that you can actually do something instead of shoving all the responsibility on to the 'other person'. that's rude.
