when you post a meme and nobody comments on your meme. so a little while later, you delete it. and post it again. and again. and again. and again.
dude, I saw you delete and post that same meme six times two days ago. And that's not the first time you've done this.
I get we're all on different time zones and you might wanna bump it up for the others, but seeing it being constantly deleted and then posted is just plain annoying. stop that.
I'm pretty sure the kind of account listing you're asking for is against the rules, anon.
Threads "fishing" for wank baselessly are at risk for deletion. This rule covers, in particular, threads that namedrop a player without recent suspicion/experience/proof of wanky behavior, threads that exhaustively list the accounts of targeted players, and threads aimed at digging up the player or past of a certain account without any observed present wrongdoing. This rule is not meant to prevent identification of players known for stalking, harassing, or chronically abusive behavior.
That might make it sound iffy, but it's my understanding that Denise doesn't want us making these lists and has considered deleting the community over it.
Cannibal characters are likely to be That Master, though.
if you're apping with a castmate to a game, and they've been all over plurk tagging other people but not you, is there a tactful way to bring that up and make sure they're actually still interested in playing together? i don't want to get stuck in a situation where a close castmate is ignoring me in game.
i'm sorry, anon. fwiw that's not usually the conclusion my brain immediately jumps to regarding these types of situations, although I might scrutinize your writing habits, icons, etc. a bit more closely at first if i was genuinely concerned. but unless it's a That Kronk or Bill Cypher type of situation, i think you should just go for it!
even in the case of those two specific examples, people are gonna pick out the obvious differences between you and their infamous players pretty quickly and i've even seen people express pretty regularly that they wish someone non-wanky would play Kronk because they'd like to interact with a genuinely good iteration of the character. so who knows, you might get a lot of fun threads with people who are just happy to play with a non-toxic version of the character. but i can almost guarantee you are putting a lot more thought into this than any of the potential people you'd be playing against.
Was talking about old wank with someone and got curious.
WG talks sometimes about individual wank incidents but some games had ongoing regular wank. Which ones had the most toxic playerbases you ever encountered? Which ones are the most toxic right now?
inspired by that abrasive tumblr import with the weird "banned faceclaim" list and no animated characters rule, what mean but honest preferences do you wish people would be upfront about?
alternatively, were you able to get away scotfree of wank, what preferences would YOU be open about?
if i could get away with it? no one from any medium pre-2000. no ugly old anime or grainy 90s tv icons attached to muns who are without fail shitty writers who still believe they're better than everyone else because they're the furthest removed from the new shiny? sign me up.
Inspired by the budding medium divide wank in flatview. Plenty of us have tried to foster cross-medium cr and had it go south on us. I'm interested in weird stories and horror stories both.
I was playing an LA character who got in an argument with a cartoon character over the game network. They were shouting at one another until the cartoon character threatened to kill my character. My character, being from a mundane canon, decided that was weird and hung up. I was later contacted by the cartoon character's player asking for permission to have the cartoon track down my character and murder them. It would have been IC in the cartoon, you see, and that was important to them. I couldn't make them see how I needed some middle ground before jumping headlong into cartoon violence. I never apped to play Eddie Valiant chasing after Roger Rabbit.
I can handle playing my Regular Joe as a straight man suddenly immersed in a war between super-saiyans throwing energy balls at one another, but something about being asked to consent to a murder over something so inconsequential sent me running to hug the medium divide. I'm still cautious around players who play from really cartoony canons for that reason.
personally i wish there was more of a genre divide than a medium divide.
for example, a got character is going to have a lot more in common with someone from berserk than they are with someone from riverdale. or a character from free is going to have way more in common with someone from riverdale than berserk.
